Ed Likes BizAv's 'Can-Do' Attitude
NBAA paints its Annual Meeting & Convention as the 'year’s most significant media event for the business aviation industry.' This event brings together business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, corporate aviation department personnel and all manner of people involved in nearly all aspects of business aviation. And the guy who oversees it all is NBAA CEO and President Ed Bolen.
During a very short lull in the action at NBAA 2010, Ed sat down with ANN's Jim Campbell to talk about the current health and attitude of the aero-citizenry working in the BizAv world. Bolen and Campbell talked about the feeling at this year's convention... one that was unmistakably more positive and constructive than last year's, though all admit that 2010 was a tough year and 2011 is unlikely to be much of an improvement.
Ed also chatted about the lessons learned since the disastrous Congressional BizJet bash of the Big-Three automakers -- and the new position espoused by NBAA that we should no longer take on a "low" profile but be unafraid to state our support of this industry and our justifiable pride in a business that moves this nation, creates jobs, and keeps this country a major force in the world.
