Tamarack, ForeFlight Provide Enhanced Winglet Performance Data

Improves Flight Planning For Active-Winglet Equipped Aircraft

Tamarack Aerospace Group and ForeFlight announced an expansion of their collaboration to deliver improved flight planning data for aircraft equipped with Tamarack’s Active Winglet technology.

With more than 200 Citation Jets now equipped with the Tamarack upgrade, significantly higher-resolution performance datasets have now been integrated into the ForeFlight platform. The updates are derived from thousands of additional fleet hours and reflect the proven operational efficiency of the Active Winglet technology.

The rollout is beginning with Cessna CJ2 and CJ2+ operators and will continue in phases to include the Cessna 525 series (CJ, CJ1, CJ1+, M2, and M2 GEN2), followed by the 525B series (CJ3, CJ3+, and CJ3 GEN3).

Jacob Klinginsmith, President of Tamarack Aerospace said, “These updates ensure that ForeFlight users have access to the most refined and comprehensive data available. The original datasets were fully certified and FAA-approved, and this enhancement simply reflects the depth of real-world data gained from our expanding fleet. Our goal is to continuously improve operator confidence and maximize the benefits of Tamarack technology.”

Users of ForeFlight will see the new performance profiles appear automatically while the rollout progresses, providing improved accuracy for fuel burn, time en route, and performance planning.

The Tamarack Active Winglet upgrade delivers as much as 33% fuel savings, extended range, enhanced climb performance, and increased safety margins. The company has installed the upgrade on more than 200 Citation Jets and its variants to provide improved efficiency and sustainability in the business aircraft market.
