Organization Counts 704,000 Attendees from 94 Countries

The numbers are in, and EAA AirVenture 2025 has once again outdone itself. According to the Experimental Aircraft Association, the event drew approximately 704,000 visitors to Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, beating last year’s record by 18,000 and continuing a years-long trend of growing attendance.

Visitors came from 94 countries, and camping areas were packed, with over 15,000 sites accounting for 40,000 people staying on the grounds. Aircraft arrivals across east-central Wisconsin topped 10,000, including 16,246 takeoffs and landings at Wittman Field alone between July 17 and July 28. That averages out to about 108 movements per hour during operating times, AKA a lot of prop noise. On display were 2,543 showplanes, with 995 vintage aircraft, 910 homebuilts, 361 warbirds, and a handful of everything else from ultralights to balloons.

“We found ourselves revising our initial attendance estimate upward once all the final weekend’s numbers were in, including from a tremendous day on Saturday, July 26,” said EAA Chairman and CEO Jack Pelton. “This year’s success is a credit to our 6,000 volunteers, our staff members, and our partners as they continue to raise the bar on what’s possible as we bring the aviation world to Oshkosh.”

Commercial exhibitor numbers hit 962, another record, while more than 1,600 workshops, forums, and presentations filled the 65 venues on site. The massive volunteer staff kept things running, contributing an estimated 300,000 hours more than 34 years of volunteer labor in a single week.

On the digital front, EAA reported 21.2 million people reached via social media, with 20.3 million video views and a bump of 44,000 new followers. International attendance included 2,305 officially registered visitors from 94 countries, though actual numbers are likely higher, as not everyone bothers to sign in.

EAA AirVenture returns next year from July 20–26, 2026. Until then, EAA is already getting ideas for how to top this… because apparently 704,000 people just isn’t quite enough.

“There is never a shortage of ideas from EAA members, AirVenture attendees, our partners, and from inside our own volunteer corps and staff. We’ll take a little time to enjoy this year’s accomplishments but will soon start planning for next year’s edition of The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration,” Pelton added.
