Daher Showcases Kodiak 900 For LEOs At APSCON 2025

Rapid Growth In Deployment Of Multi-Mission Aircraft For Public Safety

Daher Aircraft is highlighting its Kodiak 100 and 900 aircraft family at this week’s Airborne Public Safety Association Conference and Expo (APSCON) at the Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona, being held in conjunction with the APSCON Unmanned Conference. The event features both crewed and uncrewed aviation educational sessions and product exhibits dedicated to law enforcement and public safety operations.

The company will be exhibiting its fully surveillance-equipped Kodiak 900 to feature its capabilities for multi-mission and public safety applications.

Nicolas Chabbert, CEO of the Daher Aircraft Division said, “The Kodiak’s increasing utilization by law enforcement reflects a growing recognition of the airplane’s exceptional capabilities for public safety – from endurance and versatility to cost-efficiency and in-the-field adaptability.”

The aircraft Daher is presenting at its exhibit is the company’s Kodiak 900 multi-mission demonstrator aircraft integrated with a Trakka TC300 Gen 2 sensor and Rapid Imaging Solutions mission system in a configuration that includes an advanced mission console, retractable camera mount, and a cellular digital direction-finding system, or DDF.

The DDF can filter devices by area code of user group, a valuable tool in search & rescue, disaster response, and tactical ops.

The same aircraft will be on display at Daher’s exhibit at next week’s EAA AirVenture Oshkosh at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) in Wisconsin. There, the aircraft will be available for demo flights from nearby Appleton International Airport (KATW).

The Kodiak 100 and 900 are STOL-capable and can operate from unprepared runways, important for rural and off-grid emergency operations. The aircraft also can loiter for up to 10 hours and has high electrical output for cameras, radios, consoles, and mission avionics.

Paul Carelli, Daher Aircraft’s Senior Director of Multi-Missions and Business Development for the Americas explained, “Kodiak offers capabilities that are comparable with helicopters in certain mission scenarios, especially for on-scene persistence – but with significantly lower operating costs and longer flight range,” added “The Kodiak is a force multiplier when augmenting helicopter fleets, as well as when deployed as a stand-alone surveillance platform.”
